A pair of heavy archaic Chinese 'Hu form' (壶 壺) table lamps made in the middle of the last century. Bronze with faint gold highlights enhance the bodies. Each lamp has a pair of mythical headed creatures on the sides of the vessel that support a moveable ring. They are modelled on an Chinese / Asian style that dates back to the 9th. Century BC. These impressive lamps have been mounted on dark brown/ebony coloured wood stands with a matching top that covers the top of the urn /vessel.
