Large scale La Barge carved & gilt framed gold wall mirror (for Maitland Smith).
The bevelled mirror is presented within an extraordinary exquisite frame. The angled outer section has open-carved scrollwork over an ebonized back piece, the gold over black contrast imparting a tasteful and elegant look. The inner frame is a classic stepped fluted form with gilt finish.
