Antique Chinese Hexagonal Shiwan Stoneware Jar Incised Decoration with faint Turquoise Glaze.
The Shiwan stoneware jars of Guangdon Province were used principally to ship preserved or pickled vegetables & spices to the Chinese working the gold fields in the U.S.A., Australia and New Zealand. Comes with later perfectly fitted plastic cap which can be kept or not.
