Vintage Chinese Carved Red Rosewood Canterbury or Magazine Stand With Bats
Fine craftsmanship throughout and the rack is carved from solid mature rosewood with auspicious Chinese symbols incorporated in to the design.
The front/back shaped panels have an openwork design portraying opposing bats (good fortune) on either side of the symbol for prosperity and long life.
Yoke style handle at top.
Fits together with dovetail joints. Easily breaks down for shipment/storage.
Vintage, circa 1980. Made in Hong Kong or China.
Condition is very good with only very minor expected surface wear.
A useful magazine rack or Canterbury that can hold a good quantity of papers!
